Custom themes, plugins, performance work, and migrations for small businesses, nonprofits, and cultural projects across the LA area.
We are not a venture-funded AI startup chasing the news cycle. We are a small, working consultancy based in Westwood, Los Angeles — with a decade of real production experience and a calm, privacy-aware approach to AI.
AI Guy in LA is led by Omar Abu Assaf — a Los Angeles-based full-stack developer with over a decade of hands-on production experience. Most of that experience is exactly what business owners actually need: WordPress that does not break, Django applications that do real work, AI integrations that survive past the demo.
We work directly with the founder, partner, or office manager who has the problem — not through layers of account managers. When you book a call, you talk to the person who will write the code. When you have a question six months in, the same person answers the email.
Our clients tend to be the kind of organizations that take their own work seriously — law firms, clinics, nonprofits, consultants, educational programs, and small research-oriented businesses. They want practical results, plain explanations, and a partner who treats their data carefully.

We build automation that solves a specific business problem you can measure — faster response to leads, fewer hours on repetitive FAQs, more reliable content workflows. If a feature does not save time or earn revenue, it does not ship.
AI only gets the data it needs. We start with public information (your site, FAQs, service descriptions) and only widen access under written scope. Testing uses synthetic dummy data — outside contractors never see real client records.
AI is great at first drafts, triage, and routing. People are still better at judgment, tone, and edge cases. Our systems route important actions through human review before they go out.
We will tell you when a problem does not need AI at all — sometimes a better form, a faster page, or a small workflow change is the right answer. Tools should match the problem, not the trend.
